I do not feel I would have secured my current position or been so successful in my employment without Workable and the support of my adviser. They were there for me every step of the way.

Questions
Things people ask before applying.

Still unsure if Workable NI is right for you? Here are the most common questions we get.

Do I have to be struggling at work to apply? +
Not necessarily. Workable NI supports both people who are finding things difficult and those who want proactive support to make the most of their role. You can also apply when starting a new job to get support from the beginning.
Does my employer need to know I've applied? +
Not necessarily at first. You can contact us directly for an initial confidential conversation. If we then work together on adjustments or training, we would typically involve your employer but we'll discuss that with you at every stage.
How long does the support last? +
Workable NI typically supports you for up to one year. However, the programme is flexible — if more or less time is needed, this can be agreed between you, your employer, and your Workable NI adviser.
Is there any cost to the employer or employee? +
No. Workable NI is fully funded by the Department for Communities and is free to both employees and employers. There are no hidden costs at any stage of the programme.
Can I apply if I'm only just starting a new job? +
Yes, in fact early support can be the most effective. Applying when you're about to start or have just started a new role means we can help you settle in, establish good working practices, and address any challenges before they become problems.
Ready to take the next step?
