Would you like to find out what STRIDE involves and how it can support you or someone you know?

Take part in our 2 weeks STRIDE into Work online taster sessions.

This will be a great opportunity to find out what STRIDE involves and to speak directly to our Team, Employers, Employability Experts and to previous Participants that have taken part.

Who?

Anyone living with a disability or health condition who is unemployed, on furlough or working less than 16 hours and who wants help to get into work

What?

Series of taster sessions (see next page), ranging from:

  • Employability Course Taster

  • Health & Wellbeing Activities & Advice

  • Employers advice & guidance on how to improve your chances of getting a job in their industry

Each day of the week will have a theme as described below:

Mindful Monday

  • Do you want to become more present in the here and now, be less stressed or anxious or just learn to appreciate what you have?  Mindful Monday’s will host a series of online events that will help you do this through the practices of mindfulness, helping you to relieve stress and anxiety, become more focused and improve your overall wellbeing.  Hosted by Inspire Lead Mindfulness Practitioner, Frank Liddy who has over 35 years’ practice-based experience, developing mindfulness programmes across Ireland and is a global authority and leader in the field.

Taster Tuesday

  • Want to find out more about what it’s like to work in a particular job or industry from those that work there?  Tune into our Taster Tuesday events where Industry expert will talk you through what you need to be successful.  They will give you top tips and advice to prepare for work in their industry.

WORKShop Wednesday

  • Whether you need help and advice on how to create a CV, make successful applications or be successful at interview.  These workshops will give you the knowledge and skills to move forward with your search for work.  Each week will focus on a particular skill required to get that job!

Throwback Thursday

  • At Usel, we are great at what we do, but why take our word for it.  Listen to our participants who have already benefited from our support.  If you are looking support to get into work and prepare for the future these sessions will help you understand just what Usel can do to help you.

Feel Good Friday

  • Tune in on Friday to hear from our Guest contributors ……where the theme will be Feel Good Friday.  Get tips on what it takes to make us Feel Good both physically and mentally and how we can take small steps to doing this.
