On Thursday 24th October, Usel were awarded "Social Enterprise of the Year" at the Ballymena Business Awards. The glittering award ceremony, attended by over 400 people was held at The Tullyglass House Hotel, Ballymena.
The awards, hosted by Ballymena Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry, are a celebration of everything that is best about business in the Ballymena area. Mid and East Antrim Council were once again the Principal Sponsors at the event.
Speaking about the win, David Cowan Head of Services said " We are over the moon to have received this award in our first year working within the Ballymena area in our new centre. We have provided services within the area for a long time but 2019 was the year when we opened our new facility at Woodside Road, as well as Ability Cafe at The Ecos Centre. Our partnership with Mid and East Antrim Council has continued to grow and this award is recognition of the great work our team are delivering in the area".
