Warehouse/Food Production

Due to the increase demand on food products and other goods there is an increase demand on production operative and other roles.

 

A production operator is someone who works in a factory making and putting together goods that are later sold to customers. This could be putting together parts for equipment or making and packaging food items.

​

Warehouse workers are responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organising and retrieving stock and . Checking for damaged or missing items.

 

Key skills

​

· Good numeric and organisational skills

· Good interpersonal and team working skills

· Good time keeping skills

· Keen eye for detail and good concentration skills

· Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions in English for Health and Safety purposes.

· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, in most case not essential, but may prove advantageous.

· Experience of shift work, whilst not essential, may also prove advantageous.

Cleaning

The cleaning industry employs large numbers of people in all sectors of the economy from offices to factories to hospitals and shops. Cleaners have become an essential part in the fight of the current pandemic.

Delivery Drivers

As the demand for home deliveries and delivery of essential products has increased it has resulted in an increase demand for Delivery drivers

 

A delivery driver would be required for the loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.

 

Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied

Customer Service

​

Would be expected to obtain client information by answering telephone calls; interviewing clients; verifying information. Informs clients by explaining procedures; answering questions; providing information maintains good communication at all times

Healthcare

Healthcare can be described as any organisation who provides a service to the general public to ensure they remain in good health and provide care to an individual or the community. The main job opportunities can be found in Hospitals, Care homes and Community Care.
