USEL (Ulster Supported Employment Ltd), provider of paid employment and related services for disabled people has achieved the prestigious accolade of Investors in People accreditation.
USEL who provide supported paid employment for disabled people within its Belfast manufacturing base and deliver a range of programmes to assist disabled people to move into and maintain paid employment was formally awarded the recognition at a prestigious awards ceremony in Hillsborough Castle.
The Investors in People Standard is a business improvement tool designed to help employers improve performance by linking people development and skills acquisition to the specific aims and objectives of their businesses, to assess and improve the performance of their employees.
The awards were made by NI Employment and Learning Minister, Sir Reg Empey, who highlighted the importance of local organisations investing in their people at this difficult time in industry and hailed the standard as an excellent, user-friendly business improvement framework for employers.
