  Sam Humphries (Chief Executive)

Sam joined USEL in February 2006 as the new Chief Executive. A Manufacturing Production Engineer by profession Sam has spend many years in commercial industry in areas as diverse as Plastic forming, precision die manufacture and High Precision valve engineering to Supply Chain Management activities for the electronics industry.

  David Macedo (Finance Manager)

David comes from an international Accountancy background working with some of the worlds biggest blue chip accountancy firms in their offices in London and the Middle East. David specialised in audit processes and when he joined USEL in 1997 that experience allowed him to make a significant contribution to the organisation as a whole.

  Gwen Mills (Training and Development Manager)

Gwen is a Business Administration and Social Studies Graduate, holds a Diploma in Adult Educational and Vocational Guidance, a post-graduate Personnel Management qualification, and a Social Auditing qualification. She has in excess of 23 years experience within employment and training fields, with over 16 years experience gained specifically within the disability sector. Gwen joined USEL in 2001.

  Arthur Savage (Sales and Marketing Manager)

Arthur joined USEL in 2003 with over 35 years experience in a variety of Sales and Marketing roles in Northern Ireland mainly in the food industry. He is a graduate of the University of Ulster with a B.A. (hons) in Business Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies. Arthur has prime responsibility for the commercial sales function within the organisation along with the Marketing and PR for the whole organisation. He is a former President of the Belfast Junior Chamber of Commerce.

 
Terry Fuller (Operations Manager)

Terry is the longest serving member of the USEL management team with over 23 years experience. Terry came from a work study background and over the years has developed within USEL to the Senior Team. He holds an MBA in business management and is a past chairman of a Local Development Association and currently the Company secretary of a Community Business.

  Jeff Crum (Employment Services Program Manager)

Jeff joined USEL in 1982 as the Employment Support program manager. This was the pilot stage of a program which Jeff has successfully managed for 24 years. Jeff holds an Honours degree in Business studies as well as being a licentiate member of CIPD. He has responsibility for over 600 employees who are spread across Northern Ireland working in many different industry sectors.

  Linda Laird (Human Resources and Training Manager)

Linda has over 30 years experience within the field of HR Management mainly within a manufacturing environment. She has a Management Services background in Work Study including Work Measurement and Method Study, moving into the areas of Human Resources and Training and Development. Linda is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. She is a trained Investors in People Advisor and is qualified to administer Saville & Holdsworth Occupational Testing.

Joanne Cameron (Programme Manager)

Joanne Cameron has recently joined the organisation as Programme Manager primarily for an EU funded program called STEP. Joanne has over fifteen years experience in training and development. She worked for 6 years as a Training Manager in the international hotel industry in Hong Kong and London, and more recently worked with a local organisation providing development opportunities to individuals and community groups across Northern Ireland. Joanne is currently completing an MBA with the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University.

  Eileen McMahon (Production Manager)

Eileen joined USEL in July 1991 coming from a textile background having previously worked for Courtaulds Textiles Group. She has spent her whole career in the textiles industry in purchasing and production management roles. This gives Eileen a unique skill base from which to manage the factory at Cambrai Street. She holds a BSC (Hons) in Sociology.
